My interview with Centro Paramadres Adolescentes has given me the drive to make my way to Lima over the next few months. I try to imagine what kinds of thoughts run through the minds of these young mothers, aged 11-19 years, who at such a young age, are forced to deal with the constant challenge of propelling themselves through a rigorous cycle.
What was I doing at age 19? Trying to find the next best party? Contemplating skipping an early lecture? Spending endless hours reflecting on the meaning of life? How different my life is from how most women my age live.
