Looking into the face of catastrophe - How Merlin is saving lives with mobile medical clinics

To get a glimpse of what it must it must have felt like to witness the catastrophic and desolate situation within 48 hours of the earthquake in Haiti, is what I experienced today.  Alex Cottin, Regional Director Merlin USA, brought light to this urgent and devastating situation.  From befriending a local Haitian reiterating his story of how his own father had to amputate the leg of his mother caught in the debris in the calamitous face of the earthquake, to being at the forefront of implementing and ensuring life-saving medical equipment reached local communities is what Alex and I got a chance to talk about.  I have come to learn over the last week that Merlin, an international aid agency, not only specializes in improving health care in countries devastated by conflict, disease and disaster, but are also actualizing ground breaking mobile medical teams in and around various regions of Haiti…take a look at our show below Merlin in Haiti
